About me
I’m a Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA #231, 2017) with more than 20 years in the Salesforce ecosystem. I started in software development, writing Java and .NET, and I still love to code (now with AI), learn new things on the platform, and build complex solutions.
Over the years, teaching became the part of the work I value most. I’m a certified instructor for the Trailhead Architect Program, teaching courses, bootcamps, and architect workshops. I want architecture to be practical and accessible, and I find it rewarding to help people take their next step and then help others take theirs.

- Past President and Board Member of InfraGard Arizona, an FBI private-sector partnership. I regularly take part in security briefings, which matters more to architecture every year.
Teaching and leadership beyond Salesforce
Teaching and leadership show up in the rest of my life too. I’m a 5th Degree Master Instructor (Master Steve Simpson (opens in a new tab)) in Tang Soo Do and a certified PADI Scuba Instructor. Learning something well and then helping someone else learn it is what I enjoy most, wherever it happens.
And, most importantly, I’m a husband and father of twin boys.
Becoming Salesforce CTA #231, Teaching, and Giving Back to the Community
It’s been an amazing journey that has led me to where I am in the Salesforce ecosystem. Looking back, I can see how my life’s experiences build upon one another. In 2006 I started working with Salesforce, the same time that I took the leap to build my own consulting company.
